Depression is a serious matter that people are taking more notice of, especially with the number of people who have chosen to take their lives into their own hands. Stress and the difficulties of the modern world are more than what most people can handle, and it can be embarrassing to reach out to friends, not knowing how they’re going to respond. Geo managed to take matters into his own hands in preventing his owner, Byron, from taking his own life.
Byron had fallen into a deep depression and after a heavy day of drinking, had tied a noose and was ready to leave a note for his family. On returning upstairs, he found the noose in Geo’s mouth, who refused to give it back to him.
Every time he tried, Geo would growl, something that he’d never done before. At first, Byron thought that Geo just wanted to play, but the dog soon destroyed the noose completely, rendering it unusable.
Byron was thankful for his dog’s efforts to save his life. But now the tables have turned, ever since the vets discovered that Geo has an aggressive tumor on his head that has spread to his muscles and bones.
Byron has started a fund for donations in order to pay for Geo’s treatment and provide him with as many happy moments as possible in what remains of his shortened life span.
Byron wants to ensure that he pays back to Geo was his dog had offered him, a second chance at life, by making his last few moments as memorable as possible. Share away, people…
