This is a list of genetic hybrids which is limited to well documented cases of animals of differing species able to create possibly infertile offspring.
Hybrids should not be confused with genetic chimeras such as that between sheep and goat known as the geep. Wider interspecific hybrids can be made via in vitro fertilization or somatic hybridization, however the resulting cells are not able to develop into a full organism. A Zoarse is a horse bred with a zebra.
Here are few awesome looking and unique half-breeds.
Ligers, tigons and grolar bears, oh my!
Although they’re quite rare in nature, animals from different but closely related species do occasionally mate, and the result is a hybrid, a new animal that has traits from both parent species.
