After a botched spinal surgery, this dog’s family was heartbroken as they watched his condition rapidly deteriorate. The mass on his spine was unable to be removed, and because of the agitation from the surgery and the worsening condition of the dog, he soon lost his ability to walk.
The dog’s family contacted California Animal Rehabilitation (CARE) in Santa Monica and the doctors there. A plan was made to help Sammi, the dog, learn how to walk again. The process took several months of hard work from Sammi. He started trying to stand, assisted in a pool of water. After that there were many more steps, balls, exercises, and trainers over the course of about three months.
