We’ve seen time and time again that people born with disabilities, both mental and physical, continue to thrive and make the most of their lives. Animals aren’t that different and have been shown to live rich and full lives. Scooter’s no different. He’s a Lhasa-Poodle mix who was born with no front legs.
He was surrendered to the shelter when he was still a newborn and that left the staff with a lot of things to figure out on their own. Scooter manages to get around on his own, using just his hind legs as he scoots across the floor on his chest. But they’re hoping to get him walking on his hind legs or getting him set up with mobility wheels so that he won’t develop abrasions on his chest.
