It’s important to be skeptical of adds that promise free puppies. You never what you’re going to get, and what the condition of the puppy is going to be. But one such ad helped this puppy to find a new lease on life.
A post of Facebook was offering up Lucy for free, and there were many responses to the post from people who were willing to take her. But this isn’t about Lucy: this is about Stuart, another puppy who was also being offered but no one wanted, just because he was a little different.
It turns out that Stuart is blind and has a defect in his spine that makes him walk with a slight bunny hop. Sometimes, his legs will give out underneath him, but that won’t stop him from trying to get around.
Nothing could seemingly break this little pup’s spirit, despite the fact that he didn’t even had a tail to wag with. The poor little pup was at risk of being drowned by his owner if someone didn’t take him soon. Denise Mueller, a woman concerned for the pup’s life, decided to reach out and get the help the white canine deserved. She wasn’t really in a position to adopt, but decided to contact a shelter instead and offer to foster the puppy while he recovered. When she went to pick him up, Stuart couldn’t be more nervous. He shook, and the former owner reported that all he did was run in circles and bite. But after a few hours in his new home, Stuart was a completely changed dog. His anxiety has lessened somewhat, and is eager to play with any new person he meets, regardless of their size.
Stuart is definitely proof of how love and affection can give you the strength you need to be braver. If you or anyone you know is willing to give Stuart a second chance to life, please contact the Last Call K-9 Rescue to start the process. Please share this post, Stuart needs our help…
