Known around his town as “the bird whisperer”, Jitesh Parmar, feeds the ducks, geese, swans and seagulls at Roath Lake Cardiff in the U.K.. And he does this faithfully, every single morning around 8 a.m., all through the long winter, because there are usually less people at the park to feed them during the cold seasons.
Because he feeds them every morning, the birds have learned who he is. They trust him, and they wait for him to come to them every morning. If by some chance he happens to show up late, the birds start walking across the street and down the road.
They walk in the direction that he normally comes from. The video below was taken to show his daughters just how the birds are waiting for him on the side of the road around 8. However, on this day he just happened to be a little late.
Now watch what they do!
Isn’t this so sweet? I’m sure that all of his feathered friends truly appreciate this kind man’s thoughtfulness. And I’m sure that the winters are much more bearable because of his compassion.
